The team hopes to raise $10,000 through donations from fans and industry sponsors to help fund cancer research.
HT Moto Yamaha is excited to announce that rider Melissa Paris will sport special pink livery at the Red Bull USGP at Laguna Seca July 22-25 in support of Susan G Komen Passionately Pink for the Cure.

In addition to Melissa’s HT Moto Yamaha R6 being decked out in a special pink paint scheme, she will also be wearing a one off set of pink leathers provided by Joe Rocket.

“It seems early to be making this announcement, but the reason for it is that we’ve set a pretty big goal of raising $10,000 for Susan G Komen by the time we get to Laguna, “ says Melissa. She adds, “We are all so lucky to be doing something we love and I think it’s really important to give back to our community in whatever way we can. This is a really fun and meaningful way to do that.”

The team hopes to raise the $10,000 through donations from fans and industry sponsors, which in turn will used by the Susan G Komen foundation to fund life saving research, education, screenings, and treatment programs nationally.

A website has been setup to collect donations at: http://www.info-komen.org/goto/MelissaParis Donations can be made in any amount and any donation of $100 enables the donor to have either their name, or the name of a loved one, on Melissa’s race bike at Laguna Seca. Stay tuned also, as several of Melissa’s sponsors have pledged items to be auctioned towards this goal!

To kick off the fundraising, Leo Vince Exhausts, a long time sponsor of Melissa, has donated the proceeds of their 2011 Grape Crusher Ride towards the effort.

“I really have to thank all of my fans and sponsors for coming together to support this cause and help us reach our goal. This issue hit close to home this year, when Josh’s manager was diagnosed with breast cancer. This is my opportunity to give back to her and show her my support as she has been so instrumental in supporting Josh and his career over the years" says Melissa.
